Christmas in SA was wonderful. We had very nice weather (in the 70's) so the kids could try out their new outdoor toys. Santa brought Amy a pair of skates and Aidan a new bike.
Amy loved her dress up clothes that her Granna made and Aidan was thrilled with his hydrodynamic building set.
They also got a kick out of the wall climbing race car!
Even Maya got a present: a pheasant.
On my way home one day after some Christmas shopping, I stopped behind this car and was really glad I had my camera. Yes, that is a pink poodle in that car.
Amy has some friends a few houses over with whom she spends almost every day. Jorja is 5 and Adelle is 3 and all three girls are very girly. One day they all got dressed up and decided to put on a performance. They danced and sang while Aidan accompanied them on the keyboard. After they had been performing for about 30 minutes, I got the wherewithall to grab my camera and start recording them! They had a fantastic time and it was definitely a "Kodak moment."
One of the reasons I have been slacking on updating our blog, other than life is SO busy, is because we have been replacing our linoleum with tile and painting. We started with the half bath downstairs then moved on to the laundry room. We should be done tomorrow (Sunday) so we can move the washer and dryer back in and finally do some laundry! We are really happy with the way the floors have turned out, and one of these days we will tackle the kitchen.
